Description Jonathan Pryor 2013-02-28 11:19:06 UTC
Within Visual Studio, open Project Properties > Mono Android Options. Set the Configuration to Release.

At the bottom is a checkbox: Bundle assemblies into native code (Release mode only). This controls whether the assemblies are mkbundled into native code: if enabled, mkbundle should be run; if disabled, it should not be run (which is the historical behavior; mkbundle support is new to 4.6).

Bug: the state of the checkbox is _backwards_.

This checkbox is supposed to control the <BundleAssemblies/> MSBuild property. However, if this checkbox is selected (which implies that mkbundle is ENABLED), the .csproj has:

    <BundleAssemblies>False</BundleAssemblies>

Likewise, if this checkbox is NOT selected (which implies that mkbundle is DISABLED), the .csproj has:

    <BundleAssemblies>True</BundleAssemblies>

Today we have checked this issue with following builds:

VS2012/2010
MFA 4.6.01055

When 'Bundle assemblies into native code (Release mode only)' is selected then it displayed <BundleAssemblies>True</BundleAssemblies> This is the gist for the same:
https://gist.github.com/atin360/1681b72e0752c6cceafc

When 'Bundle assemblies into native code (Release mode only)' is not selected then it displayed <BundleAssemblies>False</BundleAssemblies> This is the gist for the same: https://gist.github.com/atin360/ef883c87f3b1169d3806

Changing the status to Verified.
