Description Goncalo Oliveira 2013-02-25 12:44:09 UTC
System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture/CurrentUICulture do not seem to be updated if language settings change during process lifetime. Only if process is killed and run again, the correct value is there.

Java.Util.Locale.Default seems to work fine as a workaround, still, I feel this should work.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open activity
   System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture holds current system value
2. Exit activity (back button for example)
3. Change system language
4. Open activity again
System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture still holds the same value

Expected outcome

1. Open activity
   System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture holds current system value
2. Exit activity (back button for example)
3. Change system language
4. Open activity again
   System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture holds new system value

Workaround

Using Java.Util.Locale.Default.Language and Java.Util.Locale.Default.Country I can get the same result.

Not a critical thing I know, though, can lead to misdirection.
