TestStringDrawing.zip is a simple project that demonstrates the bug.
The code for determining possible display breaks in a string drawing does not work properly for combo boxes (either ordinary WSF.ComboBox or WSF.ToolStripComboBox). It truncates the line only between words, which can lead to misleading / inadequate displays on the screen.

Fix-Xamarin-10321.patch is a proposed fix for the bug.
https://github.com/mono/mono/pull/5386 has a different proposed fix that fixes the problem in SWF instead of libgdiplus. This has the advantage that it'll work with both Cairo and Pango renderers.
The PR was merged, thanks!
